We developed an integrated procurement system for Selbergs, streamlining template management and improving procurement tracking.

The company was founded at the end of 2013, today we have over 160 employees and turnover of approximately SEK 600 million. We build everything from small service projects to homes, hotels, offices, industries and have several exciting projects in the pipeline. Our organization is flexible with short decision paths and we work closely with our customers. We have a strong production focus that generates smooth processes and ultimately a pleasant working environment

It has been educational and developing to work with THNX. In their project model with “a good start” where we get an elaborate quote according to the spec we discussed together. This is a good confirmation that THNX has perceived the mission correctly. The project starts and we have quick demo meetings where we confirm that the project is moving in the right direction. Then we get the opportunity to test features before they are published live. This allows us to influence the direction of the project during the journey and that the developers worked on the right solutions, which we see as very valuable. Upon completion of the project, THNX has verified that delivery is in line with the customer's expectation.

Challenges

Selberg Entreprenad wanted to simplify and streamline the management of templates for purchases by partially automating the work and facilitating the administration of master templates. There are risks in purchasing that can be minimized with accurate and up-to-date request and contract templates. The buyer lacked a comprehensive picture of what is planned to be purchased in the near future, since all projects and coordination will take place to a greater extent than today. In addition, Selbergs Entreprenad wanted to be able to adapt the templates according to what they buy by including product/industry-specific requirements and internal preferences for, for example, a product to be delivered in the contracts.

Solution

The template engine application is a fully integrated part of Selberg's IT architecture with integrations of everything from login, email, e-signature service, document management, record keeping, contract management, etc. This allows the template engine to provide both the right input data to the right user but also deliver the right data to both suppliers, customers and the internal organization. The application also provides the buyer with good planning and good follow-up opportunities.

Results

The purpose of the Template Engine is to create a simpler and faster management of templates for purchases by partially automating the work as well as to facilitate the administration of master templates.

  • Reduce the time for buyers to create new templates for requests and agreements in projects.
  • Reduce the number of errors when creating new templates.
  • Reduce errors in new contracts and requests
  • Reduce the time for buyers to find and use the correct template

  • Enable a common approach to working with templates
