Topcon's site management solution, Sitelink3D™ , has a large feature set which gives its users a wide variety of functionality and options to manage and configure sites. The challenge was that the user flow for specific tasks, such as getting a design file from a user's computer to a machine on a site, was not straight forward, efficient and user friendly
We helped Topcon create a web-based application: Sitelink3D Exchange. It is an efficient and a user-friendly tool which helps users, in just a few clicks, to set up a site, view and control their machines and upload design data to them.
The application includes a real-time site map overview feature which lets the users locate their machines and connected devices in an efficient way. The users can also connect directly to their machines and devices using the built in remote view and remote control feature. With the file sync feature getting files to the machines has never been easier. The file sync is implemented via an integration of the 3rd party file sync platforms OneDrive, Google Drive and Dropbox.
Another valuable feature is the ability to schedule exports of design data. The feature allows users to set customized schemas to export 3d points and 3d point cloud data from machines to the cloud.
The solution includes geospatial platforms such as Cesium and Google maps.
It has never been so easy to bring data to the construction machinery. It takes just a few clicks to set up the site and upload the design data via OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox. As soon as the machine has connected, all data is synchronized fully automatically. Don't lose any time, transmit plan changes directly in seconds, even from mobile devices. Benefit from the clear user interface and the straightforward process. Download data measured by machines scheduled or ad-hoc - per machine or per site.
